Mace Crowbear joined the board in December 2020. Raised in a small indigenous community in Boulder Creek, Mace is a proud parent of five children, two of whom have autism. She has worked with the Native American Father and Families Association and studied criminal justice, interning with the Inyo County probation department. Mace is an active member of the Santa Cruz community, teaching cultural dance and crafting, and educating local schools on the true history of indigenous people. She is focused on changing school policies related to the Mission Project for fifth graders and believes that success is not just about personal achievement but about uplifting others along the way.
